Audrey

Audrey was adopted from the Humane Society of SouthWest Missouri. She was a stray that had had a litter of puppies as a puppy herself. She learned some basics and potty training prior to starting the handler program at Jeff City Correctional. She will block, cover or watch while in public if her handler feels overwhelmed or wants a barrier between himself and other people. She is also trained to help her veteran mitigate the effects of PTSD. She will interrupt anxiety-driven behaviors as well as Interrupting nightmares and flashbacks by recognizing signs of distress and waking the handler. She is fully task trained.
